According to Variety, rapper-turned-actor Curtis "50 Cent" Jackson is set to play a college football player who faces his own mortality in the upcoming Things Fall Apart.  Jackson is supposedly in the process of losing 65 pounds for the role.

But the big question is: will he be able to lose 10 years?  College seniors are typically between the ages of 22 and 24.  50 Cent is 34 years old.  Perhaps if they hire the same special effects company that made Brad Pitt 20 years younger in Benjamin Button, Jackson's presence in the film could be semi-plausible.

No word as of yet whether or not the film will be based on the novel by Chinua Achebe, the poem by William Butler Yeats, or the album by The Roots.
